Driving Innovation in Pharmaceuticals, PPE, and Global Wellbeing

Syed Naved Husain (SNH) has been a transformative leader in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, significantly contributing to the growth of BEXIMCO Pharmaceuticals. BEXIMCO Pharma, one of Bangladesh’s largest pharmaceutical companies, was the first in the world to launch a generic version of the antiviral drug Remdesivir, used to treat severe COVID-19 cases. This innovation allowed developing countries like Bangladesh to access crucial medications during the pandemic, and the company now exports to more than 50 countries, including regulated markets such as the U.S. and Europe.
Under SNH’s guidance, BEXIMCO also established BEXIMCO Health, a global-standard PPE manufacturing facility, which was constructed in just six months in response to international demand during the COVID-19 pandemic. This facility produces a wide range of PPE products, including masks, gowns, and coveralls, meeting U.S., EU, and UK standards. BEXIMCO Health has positioned Bangladesh as a key player in global PPE manufacturing.

Beyond BEXIMCO, SNH’s Global Innovation division has forged strategic partnerships with various healthcare companies. Collaborations with Searle Pharma and MGI have focused on cutting-edge pharmaceuticals, including treatments like Remdesivir. CNBG has also played a key role in genome sequencing, furthering research into genetic data and plasma-derived therapies.

In addition to these partnerships, Ganofax is another major initiative, where SNH focuses on innovative healthcare solutions that combine genetics, microbiome science, and artificial intelligence to improve global wellbeing. Ganofax’s approach integrates genetics and the gut microbiome to develop personalized health treatments.

Lastly, SNH has ventured into mental health through Happence, a mental health and wellbeing program aimed at enhancing emotional resilience and supporting mental health through various wellness initiatives.

These diverse ventures highlight SNH’s commitment to advancing both physical and mental health on a global scale.
