Teesta Power Ltd and SkyPower Global have partnered with SNH Global Innovation to lead sustainable energy efforts in Bangladesh and beyond.
Teesta Power Ltd, a subsidiary of BEXIMCO Group, operates Bangladesh’s largest solar power plant with a capacity of 200 MW. Located on a 650-acre site near the Teesta River in Gaibandha, this project cost approximately $400 million (Tk 30 billion). The plant has already supplied over 443 million units of electricity to the national grid and supports local communities through agricultural and tourism developments. The project aims to alleviate power shortages in northern Bangladesh and serve as a model for future renewable energy projects.
SkyPower Global is one of the world’s leading solar energy developers, with a capacity of 2,000 MW. Its mission is to provide universal access to clean, renewable energy, which it sees as a basic human right. SkyPower’s partnership with SNH Global aligns with a shared vision of long-term sustainability, minimizing dependency on external fundraising and focusing on innovations that benefit the environment, the economy, and local communities.
These partnerships emphasize SNH Global’s commitment to promoting renewable energy solutions that drive socio-economic growth while fostering environmental responsibility.
